It depends on how the pool is built and the niche available. Concrete pools use the standard PAR56 light with its niche; prefabricated, polyester or liner pools have specific kits and «Rapid» models that fit more easily; and for renovations without a niche, flat and mini lights are wall-mounted through the wall fitting. Yes, it's one of the accessories that pays for itself fastest. The summer thermal blanket (the classic bubble plastic) reduces evaporation, keeps the water's heat overnight and slows dirt from getting in, so you use less heating and less chemical. Combined with a roller, putting it on and off takes a minute. For winter there are more resistant winterising covers.

These are upgrades that turn a pool into a small spa. Waterfalls and cannons add sound and movement with a moderate flow, easy to fit in almost any pool. Massage jets create hydromassage zones on steps or benches. And counter-current swimming generates a constant flow to swim in place, ideal for small pools. Each system has flow requirements and sometimes its own pump, so it's worth planning well. We'll advise you based on your pool.

For a private pool, the essentials are accident prevention: a good ring buoy with rope, ladders in good condition and, if there are children, some protective barrier. In public and community pools, regulations require additional equipment — a regulation ring buoy, reaching pole, first-aid kit, capacity and depth signage, etc. — which varies by region. If you manage a public facility, we'll help you complete the mandatory equipment.

Pool plumbing uses solvent-weld pressure PVC, measured by outside diameter: the most common in residential pools are Ø50 and Ø63 mm, though there are more sizes depending on the installation. The key is that pipe, valves and fittings share the same diameter and are compatible, and to glue them with the specific PVC adhesive and cleaner for a watertight joint. Even if you have a robotic cleaner, it's worth keeping the basic touch-up kit handy: a leaf skimmer (net) to remove leaves and insects from the surface, a brush for walls and waterline, and a telescopic pole to attach both. For the floor, a manual vacuum connected to the skimmer completes the kit. It's the gear that saves your day after a storm or heavy leaf-fall.

The perimeter grating is the edge around infinity/deck-level pools: it collects overflowing water and channels it to the gutter. It's sold in sections (straight and curved) in various widths and colours, and its parts can fade or break over the years, so individual modules sometimes need replacing.
