Polytropic ELITE R290 Heat Pump
A heating and cooling solution for swimming pools that combines Full-Inverter technology and the natural refrigerant R290.
Innovation and efficiency
Developed by Polytropic’s R&D department, the ELITE R290 heat pump utilises Full-Inverter technology and uses R290, a natural refrigerant. It is designed to deliver high energy efficiency and help reduce the carbon footprint associated with swimming pool heating and cooling.
Simple and intuitive operation
The colour TFT touchscreen allows you to choose between three operating modes:
- Heating.
- Cooling.
- Automatic: heats or cools to maintain the set temperature.
Optimised performance
- Optimal Twist: corrosion-resistant PVC and titanium spiral condenser.
- 2D Technology: variable-speed inverter compressor to adjust its operation.
- Brushless DC: variable-speed fan that regulates revolutions to ensure optimum performance.
Smart operation
PolySmart Control adjusts the heat pump’s output to suit the pool’s requirements.
Low noise level
Standard sound insulation and the variable speed of the compressor and fan help to reduce noise levels during operation.
Connected control
Includes the PolyConnect Wi-Fi module and a 4G USB stick to control the heat pump from a smartphone and enable continuous monitoring.

R290 refrigerant and wide operating range
The natural refrigerant R290, also known as propane, offers high thermal capacity, enabling a better COP to be achieved. It also extends the operating temperature range down to -25 °C.
- It requires no special training for maintenance or recharging, nor an annual leak check.
- It is not affected by current regulations on fluorinated gases or by the restrictions that apply to traditional refrigerants.
